Five Mile River

  • Total Marina Berths: 0

  • Berth Sizes:

Description

At its mouth, the Five Mile River flows between the Connecticut towns of Darien and Rowayton, creating a scenic and well-protected harbor. The federal channel runs east of the mooring strings leading to the marinas on the Rowayton side of the river. Although it may appear at high tide that there is sufficient water west of the mooring strings, vessels should not navigate that area, as the bottom becomes exposed at low tide. Located close to the two transient moorings is a town dock that allows two-hour dinghy tie-ups, providing convenient access for visitors wishing to explore Rowayton’s charming village, shops, and dining options.
