The Marina at American Wharf is ideally situated near many of Connecticut’s top tourist destinations, including Mohegan Sun. Located at the head of the Thames River, which flows south into Long Island Sound, the marina serves as both a vibrant community gathering place and a convenient hub for boaters. Shuttle and access services are available to major attractions such as Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, and nearby golf courses, all just minutes away.
With 160 slips, the marina accommodates everything from fishing and recreational vessels to luxury yachts. Both seasonal and transient boaters enjoy a full range of services and amenities, and our professional staff can accommodate vessels up to 238 feet. The full-service facility includes event space, a swimming pool, a restaurant, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and more.
Since 1988, the Marina at American Wharf has proudly hosted Norwich’s annual July 4th Extravaganza and fireworks celebration, drawing tens of thousands of visitors for a night of family fun along the waterfront. The marina is a designated safe harbor and is a certified Reception Facility for foreign vessels.
