Description
The Biddeford Pool Yacht Club is a private yacht club, not a marina. We welcome transient boaters to use our facilities for a nominal fee, though we do not have slip space available. Guest moorings are located in Wood Island Harbor, outside of the Pool. Please note that when strong winds blow from the North or East, the anchorage can become uncomfortable.
For over 80 years, members have gathered at BPYC for sailing, racing, and the annual Chowder Luncheon. We offer sailing lessons to both members and non-members and work with the Fisherman’s Association to share our waterfront and support local fishing traditions.
The club is open to new members, particularly boaters with ties to the Biddeford community. A small local grocery store is within walking distance for provisioning needs.
