This mooring is located in Cotuit Bay within the Cotuit mooring field/area. It provides access to the Cotuit Launch Service on VHF Channel 68, with operating hours varying by day. The Cotuit Launch is a privately operated service, and fees for its use are set independently and are not determined by the Town of Barnstable. The moorings are marked with an orange stripe on the mooring ball for easy visual identification upon approach. Use of the mooring is by reservation only. While requests for specific moorings may be made at the time of booking, they are not guaranteed. Because all Cotuit moorings are managed under one account, individual moorings cannot be specifically selected during booking. Assignments are determined by the Harbormaster’s Office based on vessel size and required swing room. A pump-out boat services the area; for assistance, contact VHF Channel 09. Harbor staff are also available on VHF 09 if help is needed locating the assigned mooring. Temporary small vessel (dinghy) storage is available for short-term tie-up only, and someone must remain with the vessel at all times; all other usage requires an annual fee. The Cotuit Town Dock is open to the public for temporary tie-up strictly for loading and unloading, and vessels may not be left unattended.
