Description
These are transient moorings operated by the Town of Barnstable Harbormaster, identified as LB/300 (41 38.209N, 070 16.277W) and LB/201 (41 38.174N, 070 16.285W). The moorings are located in Lewis Bay within the Lewis Bay Mooring Area, near the Hyannis Yacht Club and close to Dunbar Point, also known as Kalmus Beach. They are labeled LB/300 and LB/201 and can be identified by a visible orange stripe. These moorings can accommodate vessels up to 48 feet in length.
A private launch service is available at this location through Hyannis Yacht Club; however, it is not affiliated with the Town. Fees and hours of operation are set by the yacht club, and they should be contacted on VHF Channel 69 for pickup. Pumpout service is available upon request or at Bismore Park Marina. A local gas dock is located in the inner harbor at Hyannis Marina.
Please note that the Harbormaster’s office is not staffed 24/7 and may not be able to respond to inquiries immediately; allow time for responses and plan accordingly. Small vessel storage is not available within the mooring area, though temporary accommodations may be possible at Gateway Marina in Hyannis Inner Harbor; please contact the Dockmaster in advance. Main Street is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Hyannis Yacht Club dock. Assistance to your mooring or availability on VHF is not guaranteed and depends on staff hours.
