Description
Oyster River Boatyard is a full-service marina located in West Chatham, Massachusetts, on the Oyster River, which flows into the protected waters of Nantucket Sound and the Southway in Chatham via Stage Harbor. From this location, pristine beaches, outstanding fishing, and sightseeing opportunities are just a short cruise away.
Founded in 1952 as a boys’ summer sailing camp, Oyster River Boatyard was converted into a boatyard in 1967, with the former bunkhouses transformed into a summer rental cottage colony. In 1981, the cottages were sold as condominiums, while the boatyard continued operations. Over the years, the marina has evolved to offer boat slips, moorings with complimentary launch service, fueling, comprehensive service and repairs, and storage. Visitors are also invited to view the local chart map highlighting ocean depths in and around Chatham, Massachusetts.
