Fire Island Pines is an upscale, secluded, and gay-friendly barrier island community surrounded by a national park. With no cars on the island, access is exclusively by boat or ferry, and visitors can walk just minutes from their vessel to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean beach. Guests can enjoy the world-famous Pines nightlife, featuring gourmet restaurants, cabarets, discos, bars, art exhibitions, theater, and the legendary Pines Party—an all-night beach celebration. Booking Information Maximum Beam: 19 feet Please note that the marina cannot accommodate vessels with a beam (width) greater than 19 feet. Day Trip Dockage Options: Half-Day Reservation: 4 hours Full-Day Reservation: 8 hours Marina Rules & Regulations Slip assignments may be changed at the discretion of Pines Marina. Boat owners must notify Pines Marina in advance by phone or email if their vessel will not be using its slip for an upcoming weekend between April 15 and October 31. Only properly functioning, USCG-approved Type I Marine Sanitation Devices (MSDs) may discharge. All other discharge systems must be sealed or disabled while in the marina. Boats are subject to inspection at any time. The following are strictly prohibited: Boat speeds exceeding 4 mph Unleashed dogs within the marina Rafting of boats Sleeping on boat decks or on FIPPOA property Subletting slips Commercial use of boats, including charters, fishing, or rentals Excessive noise is prohibited at all times. Inboard engines must have effective mufflers. The use of generators, horns, or loudspeakers is not permitted. Open fires and outdoor cooking are prohibited on or off boats. Permanently installed LPG or electric grills may be used only after inspection and approval. Harbor walkways must remain clear of chairs, dinghies, hoses, and other equipment. Hoses may not be used for showering. Bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted on harbor walks. Houseboats are not allowed in the marina. Dinghies may enter and exit the harbor for boat repair or cleaning and may tie up if space permits. Dinghies may be secured alongside their parent vessel provided they do not create a navigational hazard. All vessels must be secured with both bow and stern lines and should dock stern-in with the bow facing the harbor entrance whenever possible. Boats that are not operational may be required to leave the marina at management’s discretion. Slips will not be held for vessels that are out of service, unused, or listed for sale. Docking permission may be revoked at any time, without cause or prior notice, and no refunds will be issued. Any approved modifications to slip or electrical specifications will be at the expense of the slip renter. Slips may not be used for loading or unloading construction materials or other commercial goods. Boat owners and guests must comply with all regulations of FIPPOA, the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, New York State, and all applicable federal laws. Dockage, mooring, or facility use is granted with the understanding that FIPPOA assumes no responsibility for the safety of any vessel or its contents and is not liable for fire, theft, damage, or personal injury. All docking and mooring is at the owner’s risk, and vessels must carry full marine insurance coverage. Unauthorized boats will be towed at the owner’s expense. Any vessel remaining in the harbor after October 31, 2023, will be charged transient rates.
