Long Point State Park on Lake Chautauqua

  • Total Marina Berths: 0

  • Berth Sizes:

Description

The park’s boat launch is the most modern on Lake Chautauqua, which sits at 1,308 feet above sea level, making it one of North America’s highest navigable lakes. The lake is home to abundant bass, perch, pike, and other fish, but anglers especially come for muskellunge, or muskie—native to the lake and prized for their size and “fight.” Muskies often exceed 30 inches in length, with a 40-inch minimum required to keep. In winter, visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, or ice fishing. The park offers a boat launch, marina with slips available through the park, and a pump-out station. Fuel, boat rentals, and a small restaurant are provided by an on-site concessionaire. Showers are available at the beach bathhouse, and picnic tables and grills are provided for public use. A guarded beach is typically open mid-June through Labor Day—check operating hours for exact dates. Pets are welcome but must be leashed, and proof of rabies vaccination via veterinarian certificate is required (collar tags are not accepted). Pets are not allowed in playgrounds, buildings, or on the beach.
