Description
The Seaview Boat Basin is located on the bay between Evergreen and Gale Streets, just east of the Ferry Terminal. Originally dredged and bulkheaded in the 1920s by the Great South Beach Improvement Co., the basin was part of the original development of Seaview. Today, the marina accommodates 57 boats of various sizes.
Seaview is a peaceful Fire Island beach community with no motor vehicles during the summer, except for public service vehicles. About two-thirds of the slips are used by local homeowners, while the remainder are available for seasonal rentals or short-term stays.
