Three Mile Harbor is conveniently located on the South Fork of Long Island, NY, and is the closest port to the East Hampton and Amagansett villages. The harbor inlet connects directly to Gardiner’s Bay, just south of Long Island Sound and west of Block Island Sound. This protected harbor features a large deep-water mooring field, a dedicated watersports area, and a fuel dock at Harbor Marina. Three Mile Harbor is ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, waterskiing, tubing, fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing. The harbor is surrounded by beautiful natural wildlife and wetland preserves, with dazzling sunsets frequently on display.
Seacoast Enterprises Associates operates seven transient moorings (500 lbs) in Three Mile Harbor. Guests using the transient moorings have access to the dinghy dock and clubhouse at Three Mile Harbor Marina, which includes bathrooms, showers, grills, and a clubroom with WiFi. A ship’s store on-site offers a wide variety of boating goods. Three Mile Harbor is a no-discharge zone, and East Hampton Town provides a free mobile pumpout service, available on VHF Channel 73. Please note that there is no launch service, and rafting is allowed with prior arrangement.
A short drive south brings visitors to the picturesque villages of East Hampton and Amagansett, home to some of the world’s finest ocean beaches. Guests can explore upscale shops, historical landmarks, museums, theaters, art galleries, and a wide range of restaurants throughout the renowned Hamptons.
Three Mile Harbor is also home to the annual Clamshell Foundation Fireworks Show, a beloved Hamptons tradition that draws boaters from far and wide to enjoy the festivities from the water.
