Description
Queensland Cruising Yacht Club (QCYC) is a waterfront yacht and boating club located in Shorncliffe, on Brisbane's northern bayside. Situated on Cabbage Tree Creek, the club provides convenient access to Moreton Bay through a well-marked navigation channel, making it a practical base for cruising, sailing and recreational boating.
QCYC operates a marina offering overnight, weekly and long-term berthing, together with a large hardstand area for powerboats and trailer sailers. The club also provides a private boat ramp and facilities for visiting and cruising yachts. Current marina information lists berths for vessels up to approximately 15 metres, with electricity and fresh water available, as well as showers, toilets and laundry facilities.
The club has a strong sailing and cruising focus, hosting regular sailing programs and events including the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. It also provides a waterfront clubhouse with restaurant and bar facilities, making it suitable not only for boat owners but also for functions, social gatherings and visitors.
