Description
Yamba Marina is a well-established full-service marina located on the beautiful Clarence River in Yamba, New South Wales, offering a protected and convenient base for recreational vessels, cruising yachts, multihulls and larger boats travelling along Australia’s east coast.
Situated within a man-made sheltered boat harbour, the marina is protected on three sides by land and separated from the main river flow by shallow water. This location helps minimise water movement and storm surge, providing protected berthing conditions throughout the year.
The marina is conveniently positioned approximately 800 metres from Yamba town centre, giving visiting boaters easy access to the town’s cafés, restaurants, shops, beaches and other services. Yamba itself sits at the mouth of the Clarence River, providing boaters with access to an extensive river system as well as the NSW coastline.
For coastal cruisers, Yamba Marina is strategically positioned between major boating destinations. It is approximately 56 nautical miles north of Coffs Harbour and 95 nautical miles south of Southport, making it a useful stopover for vessels cruising between Sydney, northern New South Wales and Queensland.
The marina offers floating berths for a range of vessel sizes, including berthing options for larger vessels. Current published berth pricing covers vessels from approximately 10 metres through to 20 metres and above, while the marina also offers swing moorings.
Berths have undergone substantial upgrades, with modern floating infrastructure, upgraded walkways, cleats and marine service pedestals. Power and water are available at berths, together with marina lighting and fire-safety infrastructure.
Yamba Marina is also a comprehensive marine service centre. On-site and associated services include marine mechanical and shipwright services, chandlery, hardstand and boat storage facilities, workshop facilities and vessel lifting capabilities. A dedicated fuel wharf can accommodate vessels up to approximately 40 metres and supplies Ultimate 98 unleaded petrol and Ultimate diesel.
Additional amenities include showers, toilets and laundry facilities, while the marina precinct is also home to the Port of Yamba Yacht Club.
With its protected harbour, extensive marine services, convenient access to Yamba and strategic position on the Clarence River, Yamba Marina provides an attractive destination for short-term visitors, long-term berth holders and east-coast cruising vessels alike.
The marina is also recognised as an International Clean Marina, with its current accreditation displayed through 2028.
