Description
Port Otago is the commercial port operator for Otago Harbour and the lower South Island, with major port facilities at Port Chalmers and Dunedin. The port handles containerised cargo, bulk cargo, fishing vessels and other commercial shipping, with berths and marine infrastructure extending through Otago Harbour.
Port Otago is primarily a working commercial port rather than a recreational marina. Fresh water is available at Port Chalmers and Dunedin Bulk Port, while commercial bunkering facilities are available at Dunedin Bulk Port. Access to restricted port areas requires authorisation and security clearance.
