Description
Sandspit Yacht Club is a well-established boating club located at Sandspit near Warkworth, north of Auckland. The club supports sailing, cruising, power boating and sport fishing, and operates facilities including a boat ramp, haul-out area, hardstand and marina. The club’s marina is located alongside the Matakana River and provides access toward Kawau Island and the Hauraki Gulf.
The associated Sandspit Marina has around 130 berths for vessels between 12 and 18 metres and accommodates both Sandspit Yacht Club members and visiting boaters. The site also has a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant, while the yacht club operates a haul-out facility with a 13-tonne winch and hardstand area.
