Description
Whangamata Marina is a recreational marina located inside Whangamata Harbour on the Coromandel Peninsula. Protected by a solid rock breakwater on three sides, it provides a sheltered base for local boat owners and visiting vessels exploring the surrounding coast, including Mayor Island, the Alderman Islands and Slipper Island.
The marina has 209 berths ranging from 10.5 to 20 metres, with power and fresh water supplied at individual berths. Facilities include a 24-hour diesel fuel jetty, sewage pump-out, a 35-tonne travel lift, hardstand and boat-trailer parking. Showers, toilets and laundry are available for berth holders and visitors. Liveaboard stays are generally limited to 48 consecutive hours unless the Marina Manager gives permission.
