Description
Port Takola Yacht Marina is a full-service marina and boatyard in Krabi, Thailand, offering a peaceful and naturally sheltered home port on the Andaman Coast. Conveniently positioned between Krabi Town and the popular resort area of Ao Nang, the marina combines modern berthing facilities, professional yacht services and easy access to some of southern Thailand’s most spectacular cruising destinations.
Surrounded by lush mangroves and the Issara Estuary, Port Takola provides year-round shelter in a quiet setting while remaining approximately 40 minutes from Krabi International Airport. By sea, its location between Phang Nga Bay and the southern Andaman Sea makes it an excellent base for exploring Krabi’s islands, Phi Phi, Phuket and the wider Andaman cruising grounds.
The marina provides approximately 150 wet berths for vessels from 10 to 45 metres, including superyachts. Extra-wide concrete pontoons, metered utilities, shore power and a fuel dock support both visiting vessels and longer-term berth holders. The marina also provides 24-hour security and dockhand support.
A major advantage of Port Takola is its dedicated full-service boatyard. The facility includes approximately 9,000 square metres of hardstand space, dry storage for around 50 vessels and a 38-tonne hydraulic boat trailer. Catamarans can also be accommodated for haul-out, with support for multihulls up to approximately 11 metres beam. Marine trades are available for mechanical work, antifouling, fibreglass, painting, engineering, rigging and general repairs and refits.
For boaters staying ashore, Port Takola offers practical facilities including showers and toilets, laundry services, provisioning assistance, storage and transport services. Café du Port provides Thai and Western food in a relaxed waterfront setting, while the marina's Capitainerie brings together additional amenities including a marina office, convenience store, meeting facilities and swimming pool.
With its combination of sheltered berthing, boatyard capabilities, attentive marina services and strategic location, Port Takola is particularly well suited to cruising yachts, catamarans and superyachts seeking short-term or long-term berthing in Krabi. It offers a quieter alternative to Phuket while keeping boaters within easy reach of many of Thailand’s most celebrated cruising waters.
