Description
Kinloch Marina Ltd operates a 142-berth marina on the shores of Whangamata Bay, Lake Taupō, around 20 kilometres northwest of Taupō. It provides berthing for recreational boats and serves as a gateway to the lake’s western bays, which are popular for boating and trout fishing.
The marina is privately owned by berth shareholders but is open to the public for a fee. Facilities include six public boat-ramp lanes, 24-hour self-service petrol and diesel, power and fresh water at berths, and a wharf sewage pump-out. Short-term and long-term berth rentals may be available, subject to availability. Overnight stays aboard boats are generally prohibited unless the Marina Manager grants prior permission.
