Description

he picturesque village of Kinloch is situated 20 kilometres northwest of Taupō on the shores of Whangamata Bay, Lake Taupō. At the heart of the village is a modern 142-berth marina. The marina is owned by Kinloch Marina Limited and comprises shareholders and unit title holders. It is managed by a Marina Manager operating under the direction of a Board of Directors. While privately owned, the marina is open to the public, with access available upon payment of the applicable fees. Boaties are warmly welcomed, as the marina serves as the “gateway to the Western Bays,” an area renowned for outstanding trout fishing and spectacular scenery. Marina Rules The Marina Manager holds the authority to enforce all marina rules. Ramp passes must be purchased prior to launching. Ramp passes are issued per vessel and are non-transferable. Annual ramp passes must be displayed on the port side of the windscreen. Power loading (using engine propulsion to drive vessels onto trailers) is not permitted, as it causes erosion at the end of the concrete ramps.
